Rainbows

We've had a lot of rainbows this year. Maybe because we've had soooooo much stinking rain. The rainbows are always such a beautiful site tho.  I took these from the truck window while waiting for your Dad in Lowes.

Fun at Boondocks

Last night we went to Boondocks Fun Center for an evening of fun.  We ate pizza in the restaurant, played laser tag (Easton and I were on the red team and Grandpa and John were on the blue team), rode the go carts, and played miniature golf.  It was a fun way to spend the evening and the weather was beeeeeuuuuutttttiiiiiiifffffuuuulllll!!! (About dang time!!)  We loved the laser tag and Easton loved the go carts.  We talked Grandpa into rootbeer floats afterwards. BTW, Easton beat ALL the girls in ALL the races that he ran on the go carts. He was pretty proud!

Strawberry Scenery

The photos have not been altered in any way.  The darkness of the photos and clouds is real--that's what we dealt with while we were there.  Lots of rain, cold, wind, mud, storms blowing in and out, dark clouds and not much sunshine.  Some of the pics were taken from the inside of the truck because we drove around because of the rain.  We enjoyed our time tho.

Camping and Boating in Strawberry

The weather was very wet and cold during our trip but it didn't stop us at all.  We just "layered" up and headed out to have our fun.  These are just a few of the pics that we took.  Unfortuneately, I didn't get any of us riding the atv's because I didn't want to take my nice camera out in the rain and all the muck.  While we were on the atv's tho, we saw at least a dozen deer eating in the brush.  Wish I could have gotten some pics of them--they were sooooo close to where we were.  Let me just say that by the time we got off the atv's, our clothes had to go into garbage bags because we were covered in mud!  It was fun but seriously took LOTS of loads of laundry to get everything clean again.  I still need to go out and clean the carpet in the trailer--not sure if it will EVER come clean!!  Good times!! Good company!! Good memories!!

Just Call Me "Captain"

Introducing "Captain" Easton Barbeau--official boat pilot/driver.  He LOVED it!  He kept calling himself the captain and calling the boat the "party boat"!  Wow, he's CRAAAAAZZZZZZYYYY!!!

How Comfortable Can YOU Get?

This is Easton traveling back from Ioka. Notice Bailey snuggled up to him?  Those two snored most of the way back!

Easton the Builder

Easton has been a huge help to Grandpa in getting some building projects done.  This was a box that he helped build that we planted corn and potatoes in for our garden.

Waiting for Dinner.......

Apparently we wore him out....

A Night at the Bee's House

Last night we went to the baseball game!  We first went and picked up our home teacher who is a fan also and is disabled and unable to attend the games by himself.  We have been talking about taking him for a long time.  He was really excited that our family would take him.  Next we stopped in Bountiful and ate at a new restauraunt called 5 Guys Burgers.  Wow! it was pricey but good.  We ordered a large order of fries and John, Easton, Grandpa and I all ate from the large order with a few leftover!  Guess large to them is gargantuan heart attack size to the everyday world!  Then we headed off to the game.  We had great seats by first base.  It was a little dangerous during the evening as fly balls kept coming our way and we felt the need to hide under our seats for safety. JK!  Easton and I rode the train very first thing since the line wasn't very long. Later we glanced over and the line was super long. Glad we went when we did! Easton got a free kids hot dog, chips, and soda since it was the promotion for that night.  Then we had yummy ice cream in little baseball hats.  Not Weight Watchers approved but good nonetheless.  Easton talked Grandpa out of a Bees baseball.  He was pretty excited about it.  Easton and I went to use the restroom and Bumble was right where we were headed so we went and asked Bumble to sign his ball.  We had to wait for a minute while everyone got done flocking around him and then he started to walk towards us so we just stepped in front of him and asked him to sign our ball.  And he did!  Easton was sooooooooooooooooo excited!  It was the highlight of the game for him. It got chilly after about 9 pm and we had to put jackets on but it really was a beautiful evening. I can't think of many better ways to spend an evening in Salt Lake in the early summer.  We didn't get home until 11:00 and we are all pooped this morning but we had a great time and our home teacher was such a fun, sweet addition to our evening.  We had to slow down when we walked or when we climbed stairs. He needed Terry's help on the stairs but I'm so glad that he came with us. I really care about and love this man.  He is one of the nicest men I know.  So glad that I got to accompany these fine 4 men last night. (I was the ONLY female in the group). They are some of my very favorite men around.  BTW, the Bees lost but gave us a great game and they even hit 2 homeruns which was thrilling.  I love baseball!, Ice Cream!, Easton, John, Terry, and Arlo. And not necessarily in that order!!  We had a grrrreeeeaaaatttt time!  Thanks to the Bees for opening their house so we could come in and enjoy the game and the treats and the train ride and the beautiful weather and most importantly--the company!!   PS. Easton and I had spent 5 hours at the Castle Park in Fruit Heights that day with Shara and the boys.  We had taken a picnic lunch and Shara brought extra water and cookies for the boys.  We didn't stay very long in the sun and kept moving out of the sun but by the time we got to the game, I was starting to feel the pain of sunburn on my legs and arms and face. Ya know how you get kinda chilled when you have a sunburn? Well that was me almost the entire game. Still glad I went but made sleeping next to impossible last night!  Next time I'll try not to squeeze so much fun into one day!! Thanks Easton for wanting to go to the game.  I loved it!  It was a beautiful evening and am glad we spent it together rooting for the Bees.  Sorry you didn't catch a fly ball but glad you got Bumble to autograph your official Bees baseball.  Hope this memory lasts us all a lifetime!

Pizza, Tokens, and TONS of People!

A day spent at Chuck E. Cheese.......fuuuuunnnnn times! It was the last day of school here and super crowded with families celebrating the start of summer.  It took Easton waaaaay too long to spend his tokens.  You couldn't get me out of there fast enough.  It was craaaazzzzzyyyy!  Easton had a good time tho.  Dad met us for the pizza eating part!  All in all, it was a good way to spend some time---next time we'll think about the possibility of big things like the last day of school.

Don't Dally when You're Eating a Dilly!

Today Easton and I snuck off to DQ and had an ice cream.  Easton chose a dilly bar and I got just a plain ol' cone. (I am on Weight Watchers, ya know! I've had a hard time staying within my point limits since I have a lil partner in crime!) Anyway, he scarfed that puppy right down in no time flat! It was huuuuggge! We started saying, "Don't dally when you're eating a dilly".  Easton has it down goooooood!
